The legendary YTS-21s Silver saxophone, this series still has a 4-digit serial number, is the next generation after the purple logo, marked by the Yamaha YTS-21 embossed on the front of the body. The neck still bears the purple logo, originally made in the 1970s.

This unit features Yamaha branding with the word "Japan" embossed underneath, and there is no "Made in Japan" written on the back of the body below the serial number. After Yamaha established several saxophone factories such as in China and Indonesia, they removed the writing "Japan" on the front body, and added "made in ..." on the back of the saxophone body to identify the locality of manufacture of each unit. This unit is considered to be in very good condition considering its age, but its physical condition is still good and neat, there are no dents or welding marks.
