It was probably manufactured in the 1960s during the Nikkan acquisition and is the precursor to Yamaha brass and woodwind instruments. Initially, Yamaha didn't have a brass or woodwind line. Since acquiring Nikkan, Yamaha has officially started selling musical instruments like trumpets, saxophones, and other wind instruments.

The body is naturally unlacquered, with no welds or dents. The sound is really cool, bright but feels thick. The tuning is secure and precise, with even notes from high to low.
